Mission

At the same time, guardrails around security, privacy and governance should be maintained at all times. Privacera’s mission is to enable the modern information worker securely access the enterprise data using any tools or application of his/her choice.

History

Privacera team has a rich history in bringing together security, governance and big data. Privacera founders previously started a company called XA Secure focused on centralized security in Hadoop. XA Secure was acquired by Hortonworks in 2014 and the product was donated to Apache foundation and became known as Apache Ranger.

While at Hortonworks, the team started another open source project, Apache Atlas, focused on comprehensive governance in big data. Privacera work is a continuation of the incredible work done by the Apache Ranger and Apache Atlas communities over the years.

Privacy Policy
