Privacy Policy

At DE&TC, we’re committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This Policy explains when and why we collect personal information about people who engage with us, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

How do we collect information from you?

We obtain information about you when you use our website, when you contact us about products and services, if you register to receive our newsletters or if we have implemented a contract, NDA, MOU or other Agreement with you.

What type of information is collected from you?

The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address, company name, IP address, and information regarding what pages are accessed via our website and when.

  • to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into by you and us;
  • seek your views or comments on the services we provide;

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations. We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract or agreement that you hold with us. Where we have conducted a financial transaction with you, we are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed.

Security precautions in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information

When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely.

Non-sensitive details (your email address etc.) are transmitted normally over the Internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems. All the personal data we process is processed in the UK however for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance this information is located on servers within the European Union. No 3rd parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so. If something goes wrong, a procedure is in place to detect, report and investigate a personal data breach.

Profiling

We may analyse your personal information to create a profile of your interests and preferences so that we can contact you with information relevant to you. We may make use of additional information about you when it is available from external sources to help us do this effectively. We may also use your personal information to detect and reduce fraud and credit risk.

Currently the DE&TC website does not operate ‘cookies’

DE&TC will not collect or process any data for a child under the age of 16

Automated Decision Making

Automated decision-making means making a decision about you using no human involvement e.g. using computerised filtering.  No decision will be made about you solely on the basis of automated decision making.
